Dans ce monde où des événements surnaturels entraînent parfois des ravages, Ashaf et Guido sont tous deux envoyés par l’Ordre de l’Écho Noir, dont la mission est d’éviter les débordements causés par la sorcellerie.

Ashaf, est un magicien chevronné, qui a promis à Guido de l’assister dans sa quête. Guido est poussée par une soif de vengeance irrépressible envers une sorcière qu’elle a juré de tuer.
